Another Beautiful Day In Paradise
It’s a beautiful day in the Conch Republic. I am sitting on my porch looking out at a perfect blue sky and the beautiful emerald waters that lie just off my dock. Today is going to be a boating day. I have no destination in mind, but wherever we wind up I know it will be spectacular. It is just too nice a day not to go out and play.
We just finished filming our second Key West Time show last night that will air tonight at 8:00 PM on www.conchtv.com As I sat in my yellow chair and looked at the ocean with the cameras rolling, it seemed surreal. I couldn’t help but be taken in with the whole scene. Tonight’s show will be a mini (short) version of the show, filmed on my dock. Last evening was just beautiful, as you will be able to see from the show. We have some fantastic shows coming up which I will tell you about later.
We’re so excited to be in the current issue of Islands Magazine, which is on newsstands right now. The cover story is about the top 20 places in the world to live on an island. You can also view it online at: www.zinio.com/browse/publications/index.jsp?offercode=PH01&productId=110665264&pss=1&bd=1
Just click on “inside” and you can see the article. I am quoted on page 65 discussing the #17 spot in the world. WOW, and I live here, let me pinch myself.
Saturday, July 3rd Boondocks
Sunday, the 4th of July, I will perform a few songs acoustically at the 26th Annual Hospice and Visiting Nurses Association’s picnic at the Casa Marina in Key West. I take the stage around 6:30; however, there is great entertainment starting at 5:00 PM and fireworks at 9:00 PM. For more information visit www.hospicevna.com/events.htm
Also, thanks again for the generosity of everyone in helping us raise $39,295 for Care Camp. It is an honor to have such great friends.
Well, the boat is fueled up, there is a tropical breeze in the air, Cynderella has her bathing suit on and I think it’s time to go!
Please have a wonderful day and on behalf of the entire Mile Marker 24 family, we would like to wish you and your family a safe and wonderful 4th of July.
Until next time, may the tide always pull you back.
Howie
